Why? I would really rather have them use the tolerance interval function but this apparently was not introduced until Minitab 16. Just to be clear I am using the Graph - Probability Plots function. I am less worried about the decimal places though as I can get the full value from the graph by selecting the graph of the confidence interval but if there is a way to increase decimal places in the session window I would love to hear it. Also in the session window the confidence interval is only showing with 1 decimal place, and given that data may be less than 1 this is problematic. I could of course apply a two sided 10% confidence interval and then just use the lower bound but I wanted to show the data using the same format. Despite hours of searching on the web I cannot figure out how they got the data to display as a one sided interval in Minitab but as I have seen the graphs I know there must be a way.Įssentially what I want to do is show the data at the 5th percentile and then use the lower confidence interval. Their previous director of quality was displaying the data with a one sided confidence interval. They are currently limited to Minitab 14. They would like me to write a procedure on how to do the analysis. ![]() I have a customer who has historically analyzed their data using the probability plots in Minitab. ![]()
